Pampering yourself at home can be a self indulgent ritual. For me, there is nothing like a great foot soak & pedi. Salons are so busy and loud, it is often hard to relax. Instead, I create my own retreat. You just need a few things to treat yourself like the princess you are!
- DIY Foot Soak
- Bin or Foot Spa
- Towels
- Nail polish remover & cotton pads
- Foot file
- Padded Cuticle Stick
- Nail file
- 4 sided buffer
- Clippers
- Foot cream
- Hand cream
- cuticle oil
- Nail polish {Color Street all in one of course}
STEP 1: Remove your old polish. Non acetone is best for the nail. Here are my 2 favorites. Color Street and Mineral Fusion.
STEP 2: Begin with a decadent foot soak, Treat yourself with some relaxing music and your favorite beverage. Soaking will naturally soften skin on the feet and around the cuticles. Take a peek at my super simple salt soak. Add some flower petals from the yard to kick up the pampering vibe. Add some cucumbers for your eyes and drift away to bliss!
Step 3. Pumice! I love to start with this Foot file and finish with a pumice stone for baby smooth feet. Regular exfoliation will keep you sandal perfect! I also LOVE to start with this DIY Salt Scrub for exfoliation and moisturization!
Step 4. Dry your feet and push back your cuticles with a Padded Cuticle Stick. Pro Tip: I keep these little jewels stashed everywhere for a quick cuticle clean up after I wash my hands. Regular cuticle care eliminates the need for chemical softeners and nippers which can hurt.
Step 5. Trim, file and shape your toe nails. I love this little pedicure kit plus a long file and a buffer to smooth the surface. I won’t treat you to my feet details but the 4 sided buffer is perfect for smoothing out the surface. This is way better treatment than your toosties get at the nail salon.
Step 6. Add some color with my all in one polish! You can choose a pedicure size or an nail polish shade too! One fantastic formula has you covered from tips to toes! Base coat, color and top coat all in one!
Step 7. Don’t forget a decadent foot creme and a little cuticle oil to finish your DIY pedi. No cuticle oil? Try a few dabs of olive oil straight from your pantry.
